Dallas, March 1, 2011 – We’ve known it for years. Women love Mary Kay® products. It was no surprise when Mary Kay ranked #1 in the 2011 Customer Loyalty Engagement Index.

Independent research firm Brand Keys just published the official results of its 2011 Customer Loyalty Engagement Index, which examines customers’ relationships with 528 brands across 79 categories. Mary Kay ranked #1 in customer loyalty in two categories: cosmetics and facial moisturizer.
In addition, Mary Kay ranked #6 overall in “Brands That Delight”, a list of the top performers across all categories that are “knocking the ball out of the park when it comes to customer engagement and loyalty,” as referenced by a Feb. 7, 2011, article published by online news service Marketing Daily. The list includes such notable brands as Netflix, Apple, Walgreens and McDonald’s. According to Brand Keys, loyal customers are important to brands because they:
  • Purchase your products and services again and again over time;
  • Increase the volume of their purchases;
  • Buy beyond traditional purchases, across available product lines;
  • Refer your company’s products and services to others;
  • Become immune to the pull of the competition; and
  • Give your company the benefit of the doubt.
“We are honored to be recognized for brand loyalty,” said Yvette Franco, Mary Kay Inc.’s Vice President of U.S. Marketing. “Our brand has loyal consumers because Mary Kay has great products. Whatever a woman wants in her skincare and cosmetics, we have it. From the 20-year-old woman who wants a natural, beautiful look to the 50-something woman who wants to fight the signs of aging; we are focused on addressing the needs of all women. We have what she wants. We believe the personalized service offered by the Mary Kay independent sales force and Mary Kay’s high-quality products are the two reasons that consumers are loyal to our brand.”
