Celebratory Conference Will Bring an Estimated $34.1 Million in Economic Impact to North Texas

DALLAS – July 22, 2023 – Sixty years calls for a celebration! Global cosmetics company Mary Kay Inc. is celebrating 60 years of enriching women’s lives “then, now and always” by welcoming nearly 20,000 Independent Beauty Consultants to Dallas for its annual Seminar Conference. One of Dallas’ largest and longest running summertime annual conventions, Seminar 2023 will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center from July 22 to August 6.

Dallas-born and bred, there is no better place for Mary Kay Inc. to celebrate its 60th anniversary than in its hometown. Founded on September 13, 1963, by the original beauty influencer and North Texas native, Mary Kay Ash, Mary Kay is proud to have grown up alongside the city of Dallas and to continue supporting the metroplex. According to Visit Dallas, Seminar will generate an estimated $34.1 million in economic impact for North Texas. This includes more than 22,000 hotel rooms nights, support for more than 2,900 full-time and part-time jobs and over $798,000 in local tax revenue.

“We are so proud to welcome our global independent sales force to Dallas to celebrate our milestone anniversary,” said Nathan Moore, President of Global Sales and Marketing at Mary Kay. “They are the reason we are here and the reason we have so much to celebrate. Our iconic founder had a vision of changing women’s lives around the world, and we are thrilled we get to honor what she started 60 years ago here in our hometown.”

The two-week event is comprised of four back-to-back conferences that offer education and inspiration to the Mary Kay independent sales force, as well as recognize and reward their successes, just like Mary Kay Ash dreamed 60 years ago.
