“Fan Favorite” and “Best in Show” – Mary Kay Takes Home the Honors

Boston College 2019 International Corporate Citizenship Film Festival recognizes Mary Kay for its video highlighting the company’s commitment to ending domestic violence.

Every person has a story. Every company has a story.

At the Boston College 2019 International Corporate Citizenship Film Festival, Mary Kay was given the opportunity to tell a stewardship story. A video highlighting our company’s decades long commitment to end domestic violence tied for first place in the small business category and was awarded “Fan Favorite” and “Best in Show.”

The award-winning video was told through the people impacted the most – a domestic violence survivor and an employee of a Dallas area women’s shelter.

“When I hear Mary Kay, I see it as a treasure,” said the domestic violence survivor. “You may think it’s just makeup, you may think it’s just lotions, perfumes, beauty products. No. It’s something that is literally helping women feel beautiful and there’s a power in that.”

Each year, The Mary Kay Foundation provides a total of $3 million in grants to shelters across the country offering help and hope to more than 400,000 women and their families. At Mary Kay, we believe home should be a safe haven and we will work tirelessly to stop the violence, break the silence and make a difference.
