A Targeted Approach to the COVID-19 Relief Effort

Mary Kay donates hand sanitizer to organizations in need in partnership with the Personal Care Products Council and Feeding America.

Our founder, Mary Kay Ash, once said,

“The very foundation of this company is based on the premise of helping others.”

It was true more than 57 years ago when she launched her business and it still rings true today.
As a global COVID-19 response partner, Mary Kay coordinated with the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) and Feeding America to donate hand sanitizer to organizations in need. It’s part of our company’s commitment to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by contributing nearly $10 million (USD) in monetary donations, product donations and distribution support in the countries where we operate and in communities in critical need around the world.

In May of 2020, Mary Kay was a presenting sponsor for Glamhive Live Digital Summit, an inaugural event covering a range of topics including sustainable fashion, beauty and entrepreneurship. A portion of the proceeds from the event was also donated to Feeding America to support COVID-19 relief efforts.

Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States. Through a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs, it provides meals to more than 40 million people each year.

At the core of who we are, it is a willingness to help one another – now more than ever amid a worldwide pandemic.
