Mary Kay announces new commitment as a decade-long supporter of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.
Following racial injustices in 2020, citizens of the United States demanded reform and Mary Kay is committed to taking meaningful action to be part of the solution. As a company built on the foundation of gender equality, Mary Kay has been a supporter of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) for more than 10 years. CBCF is a nonprofit nonpartisan public policy, research and educational institute that seeks to advance the global Black community.
In June, our company announced its support as a founding member of the CBCF’s new initiative: The National Racial Equity Initiative for Criminal Justice (NREICJ). The initiative aims to advance a racial equity and human rights lens in research, data, analysis and public policy related to criminal justice reform.
“We must take action to advance racial equality and demand social justice. Through excruciating events, we have learned that racial equality must be incorporated into criminal justice reform,” said David Holl, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Mary Kay Inc. “We are committed to actions that demand change-driven policies targeted to eradicate racial disparities stemming from racism and discrimination. Demanding racial equality is protecting the human rights of Black people and we will settle for nothing less.”
Through action and transparency, Mary Kay will continue to help support the demand for racial equality. We must stand together. We must demand action.
