Mary Kay joins the World Economic Forum’s COVID Action Platform.
The spread of COVID-19 is an unprecedented global health crisis that has impacted our daily lives, livelihoods, communities and businesses. To support the COVID-19 relief effort, Mary Kay joined more than 1,500 organizations in the World Economic Forum’s COVID Action Platform to work together in response to the pandemic.
The World Economic Forum, with support of the World Health Organization (WHO), launched the first-of-its-kind platform to convene the business community for collective action, protect people’s livelihoods and facilitate business continuity, and mobilize support for the COVID-19 response.
“The World Economic Forum, in partnership with the World Health Organization, is mobilizing all stakeholders to protect lives and livelihoods through its COVID-19 Action Platform,” said Zara Ingilizian, Head of Consumer Industries and the Future of Consumption Platform, World Economic Forum. “The spread of this disease demands global cooperation among governments, international organizations and the business community. Consumer Industries companies, such as Mary Kay, and their donations of life-saving sanitation products are playing a vital role in protecting the health and wellbeing of workers, healthcare professionals and consumers.”
As a global COVID-19 response partner, Mary Kay has contributed nearly $10 million (USD) in monetary donations, product donations and distribution support in an effort to slow the spread of the virus and support frontline workers. Working together with partners worldwide – we continue to stand united in our effort to combat this global pandemic.
